Conference on Catechetical Ministry in the Philippines (CCMP)

The NCS 2021: PARI Project of the University of Santo Tomas' (UST) Research Center for Social Sciences and Education (RCSSED) is with the Philippine Catholic Church in celebrating the National Catechetical Month 2021 with the theme "Evangelization and Catechesis - Beyond the 500 Years of Christianity”. Part of this celebration is highlighting milestones to the promotion of catechesis and the Catholic faith namely, (a) Pope Francis’ Antiquum Ministerium; (b) the Directory for Catechesis 2020; and (c) the National Catechetical Study 2016-2021.

During this month, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines – Episcopal Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education (CBCP-ECCCE) conducts Catechetical Eucharistic Celebrations every Wednesday - Rev. Fr. Ernesto B. De Leon (CBCP-ECCCE Executive Secretary) on September 1 & 15, 2021, and Most Rev. Roberto C. Mallari, DD (CBCP-ECCCE Chair) on September 8 & 22, 2021. These will stream via Facebook Live.

As we also celebrate the Feast Day of San Lorenzo Ruiz, one of the patron saints of Filipino catechists, on September 28, 2021, the NCS 2021: PARI Project invites everyone to join our Kwentong Katekista 10 – Piyesta ng Pananampalataya: Conference on Catechetical Ministry in the Philippines (CCMP). This gathering also serves as our day of gratitude and blessings for all the support given throughout our research journey from 2016 to 2021. All registrants will get a chance to win our research-based publications! This is our gift to the frontliners of our Catholic faith – the catechists.

Ito po ay isang araw na piyesta ng pananampalataya, pagkilala at pasasalamat sa biyayang dulot ng Ministeryong Kateketikal sa ating 500 taong Simbahang Katolika sa Pilipinas!
